Safety & Training

Safety

Safety compliance is a paramount concern for the needs of those working in the professional fishing industry. There are ongoing developments in rules and regulations for crews of commercial fishers and their vessels.

The PFA works with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) to assist in promoting developments in the industry, safety and compliance requirements and the needs of your crew.

We have recently demonstrated the following to our members in relation to:

  • The importance of safety ladders for your vessel.

  • We also showed the importance of flares for you and your crew.

See the videos below or on our YouTube Channel.
